Kedar Jadhav, a former Indian cricketer, has officially declared his retirement from all forms of the game. The 39-year-old announced their decision via a photo collage on Instagram. Jadhav expressed his gratitude to everyone for their love and support during his career, as stated in his post labeled “Thank you all For your love and support throughout my Career from 1500 hrs”. I hereby declare my retirement from all forms of cricket.
Jadhav, a versatile player who batted in the middle-order and also contributed as a part-time offspinner with his unique round-armish delivery action, made his first appearance for the Indian cricket team in a One Day International (ODI) match against Sri Lanka in November 2014. In July of the following year, he made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in Harare. In total, Jadhav participated in 73 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 9 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He was a member of the Indian team that reached the semifinals of the 2019 50-over World Cup.
Jadhav experienced a significant development earlier in the IPL. He first appeared for Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) in the 2010 season, when he scored an unbeaten 50 runs off 29 balls. He later played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Jadhav concludes his professional career with a total of 1389 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) at an impressive average of 48.03 and a strike rate of 101.60. He achieved this feat by scoring two centuries and also contributed with 27 wickets in the same format. Additionally, he scored 122 runs in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and 1208 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He was a seasoned middle-order batsman for Maharashtra, participating in 87 first-class matches and achieving a total of 6100 runs at an average of 48.03. This impressive record consists of 17 hundreds and 23 half-centuries. He was a member of the Maharashtra squad that made it to the final of the Ranji Trophy in the 2013-14 season. During that season, he achieved the highest number of runs, totaling 1223.
